Hello, and welcome to the online home of BUDS - Brandon University Debating Society!
BUDS is open to all students who want a chance to voice their mind. Many of our members are new to debating, so don't be afraid to participate for lack of experience. The club is meant to be a way to meet people and have a good time — even the most formal debates reward heckling, humour, and witty interjections. The Debating Society also sends some members to inter-university debates. Eventually, there may even be the opportunity to travel internationally. Public speaking is also practiced at most Debating Society meetings, so if you want to be heard, but can't quite muster the courage, we can help you with that, too!
