All external funding applications must be accompanied by a BU External Research Application Cover Sheet. The form must be completed, printed, and signed by the researcher then forwarded to the Dean, with the final draft application, for review and signature. The form and application are then submitted to the Research Office for review and approval by the Vice-President (Academic & Provost). Submission to the external funding body is the responsibility of the researcher unless otherwise stated.

Please Note: The internal deadline is no less than one week prior to the external deadline. The deadline is set to allow sufficient time for review and signatures. The Research Office reviews the application and provides feedback to the researcher. Once this review is complete, the final draft application and cover sheet are ready for signatures.

All research contracts are subject to Brandon University overhead costs. Researchers should review BU's overhead policy and contact the Research Office prior to entering into negotiations with external organizations.
