The Faculty of Arts at Brandon University offers courses of study in all the major disciplines. Faculty members conduct research in many areas and bring this learning into the classroom and lecture theatre. Because we have small class sizes in senior years, students often have an opportunity to participate directly in original research. Arts is located in the historic Clark Hall -- Original Building, which has been restored to provide a very attractive learning environment. Employers know that the economy of the 21st century will be driven by the manipulation of ideas and information. A survey of Brandon University Arts graduates confirmed that the vast majority found satisfying employment as a result of their studies. More than half of our graduates go on to professional studies in such fields as law, education and accounting, or into master’s programs. You will have considerable freedom to choose your first year courses, though certain regulations are in place to ensure that a balanced liberal education is achieved. You are encouraged to seek advice from the advising staff in Student Services, who will help you to make informed decisions about your course of study. Brandon University has long had an enviable reputation both in Canada and abroad for excellence in education in the Liberal Arts and Sciences, Education and Music. The programs in Business Administration have been designed recognizing and building on this strength. The distinguishing feature of the Department is the ample opportunity provided for students to combine their program of choice in Business Administration with a solid exposure to the Liberal Arts and Sciences. |
